Delete your Hueband account

Hueband (published by Nimblocity AI Labs) gives you a single control that deletes both your account and your data. You can run it from inside the app, or — if you've already uninstalled — email us and we'll run it for you. This page explains exactly what goes away, what stays, and for how long.

Delete from inside the app

Open Hueband on your phone.
Tap Settings (the gear icon).
Scroll to the Account section and tap Delete Account & Data.
Confirm Delete Everything.

The app talks to our server, which removes you from your couple, revokes any premium access you granted to a partner, deletes your outstanding invites, removes your account record, and finally deletes your Firebase Authentication user. Once that returns, the app wipes the local database on the device and signs you out.

Already uninstalled the app?

If you can't reach the in-app option, email [email protected] from the address you used to sign in (or include enough information for us to find your account — for example the name of your partner or the approximate date you created your account). We process deletion requests within 30 days, and typically within 3 business days.

What gets deleted

Account record

Name, email, sign-in provider, user ID, push tokens, subscription mirror, and any stored preferences.

Mood history

Every mood, note, custom mood, and reaction under the couple you were in. If you were the last member of the couple, the entire couple record is removed.

Invites you created

Any unclaimed invite codes tied to your user ID, including the stamped partner name.

Premium access you granted

If you were paying for a couple subscription, your partner's granted access is revoked immediately on deletion. Your own subscription with Apple or Google is separate — cancel it through the App Store or Google Play if you no longer want to be billed.

Authentication record

Your Firebase Authentication user is deleted. Any active sessions on other devices are invalidated.

Local data on your device

Moods, reactions, couple profile, custom moods, and preferences cached on the phone are wiped when the in-app delete completes. If you uninstalled the app, deleting the app removes the same local data.

What may be retained, and for how long

Partner's copy of shared moods. Moods you logged while paired are visible to your partner. If your partner is still in the couple when you leave, their local mood history isn't affected — those are their records too.
Aggregated and anonymized diagnostics. Crash reports and performance data collected by Firebase Crashlytics aren't tied to your email or name. We keep these up to 90 days to fix bugs.
Billing records. Purchase receipts live with Apple or Google (and with RevenueCat, which validates them for us). Those records are retained by the payment processors according to their own policies; we only see a pseudonymous subscription identifier, which is deleted with your account.
Server logs. Firebase access logs may contain your user ID or IP address for up to 30 days before they're rotated out. These are used for abuse prevention and security forensics.
Legal holds. If we're required to retain specific data to comply with a legal obligation, we'll do so for the minimum required period and delete it immediately after.

Keep a copy before you delete

Deletion is permanent — we can't recover your history after the fact. If you want a copy of your mood history before deleting, email [email protected] and we'll send a JSON export of your user record and your mood entries within 30 days.

Sign in with Apple

If you signed in with Apple and want Apple to forget the app-specific identifier it issued to Hueband, go to Settings → Your Name → Sign in with Apple → Hueband → Stop Using Apple ID on your iPhone. This is independent of our deletion — if you do this without deleting your Hueband account first, you'll end up with an orphan account record on our side that you can no longer sign in to.
